Jane Feely is a lens-based, visual artist born and raised in Tenby, South Wales. While she now calls Lake County, IL home, her connection to family, heritage and the town of her birth, is a recurring theme in her photography. Her work also centers on themes of memory and perception of self. An avid traveler, she is fascinated by the detail and texture of the world around her, turning her lens towards scenes so often overlooked and striving to highlight the beauty in the imperfect.
Feely is a member of Perspective Gallery in Evanston, IL where she has hosted two solo shows. She is also a member of the Chicago Photographic Arts Society and regularly participates in their group exhibitions. Her images have also appeared in group shows across the US. She is a frequent contributor to East on Central, a journal of arts and letters from Highland Park. IL
